Lillian H. (Seibel) Granger

Lillian H. Granger, age 100 of Belvidere, formerly of Woodstock, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Heritage Woods in Belvidere.

She was born in Woodstock on June 26, 1917 to Henry and Pauline Seibel.  She married Orval A. Granger on March 25, 1939.

Lillian was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock where she was active with many church functions and activities.  She was also an active member of the Women of the Woodstock Moose Lodge.  She was an avid reader and she also loved gardening, cooking, and baking.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Merle) Schultz; her son, Larry (Gayle) Granger; her grandchildren, Kathy (Dan) Hauser, Pam Schultz, Andrew Granger, and Michael (Megan) Granger; her great grandchildren, Casey Hauser, Kyle Hauser, Spencer Kirk, Shelby Granger, Gabriel Granger, and Jason Granger; her brother, Bill Seibel; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orval A. Granger; her brothers, Hank (Helen) Seibel, and Fred (Ethel) Seibel; her sister, Pauline (Les) Young; and her sister-in-law, Fran Seibel.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 9am until the time of the funeral service at 11am at Grace Lutheran Church, 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Rd. in Woodstock.  Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
