James W. "Jim" Ingemanson
September 30, 1943 ~ June 24, 2017 (age 73) 73 Years OldJames W. “Jim” Ingemanson, 73 of Crystal Lake, passed away on June 24, 2017 surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born in Chicago on September 30, 1943 to Philip and Edith Ingemanson.
Jim received his B.S. in Chemistry from Augustana College and was a long term active alumnus. He received a M.S. in Inorganic Chemistry from Iowa State and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. He had an active career teaching college chemistry and general science as well as chemical laboratory analysis. He was a longtime member of The American Chemical Society.
James was a lifelong Lutheran and current member of Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock, IL and Lebanon Lutheran Church in White Hall, MI.
He was very well read, as well as an avid downhill skier and square dancer. Jim was an accomplished handyman who was always willing to spend some elbow grease for his friends and family. His favorite place was the family cottage in White Lake, MI.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Chris Schildt; two children, William (Lori) Ingemanson, and Karin (Michael) Pinc; three grandchildren, Logan, Nathan, and Justine; his sister, Suzanne (Art) Page-Pryde; and numerous nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am at Grace Lutheran Church, 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Rd. in Woodstock. Burial will be private at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
